Museum Thy

Where cultural heritage meets contemporary design

A vibrant gathering place for cultural heritage

Located in the heart of Thisted, Museum Thy is a regional cultural history museum that brings the area’s rich past to life – with a focus on nature, people, and everyday life through the ages. The museum offers both permanent exhibitions and changing experiences, serving as a vibrant gathering place for the local community. Its architecture and interior design strike a balance between respect for the past and a contemporary expression, making the stories feel relevant and engaging to today’s visitors.

Furniture that creates a sense of calm and rhythm in the space

At the main entrance, the Heart Table welcomes guests and contributes to a sensory and warm atmosphere, where design and storytelling merge. The table’s soft, organic shape offers a calm contrast to the building’s architectural structure. In the museum’s small café, both the Heart Table and the Surf Table help define the café area. Here, the furniture supports moments of pause and reflection, creating an interior that invites visitors to linger – right in the heart of history.
